Aging In Montclair and bevival.com introduce a signature learning event through FOUR outstanding films.
This is not a film festival, but an enlightening dialogue moderated by internationally renowned aging expert and author, Professor Mario Garrett, Ph.D. Themes include: intergenerational relationships, creativity, culture, romance, dementia and care-giving. Preliminary and post screening discussions are curated specifically for our Montclair community.
Friday and Saturday screenings take place on the Montclair State University campus in the newly opened state-of-the-art School of Communication and Media. Parking is available in the Red Hawk parking deck. It is easiest to park on level 4 or 5, walk to the exit for Kasser Theater Box Office, and then follow signs to the film series. People will also be available along the route to help with directions. The Carpe Diem Cafe (operated by Au Bon Pain) is located directly opposite the venue, and will be open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. It is a comfortable place to eat and lounge.
Sunday's film will be held at the Montclair Art Museum, Leir Hall. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the museum.
Screening venues were made possible through the generosity of the College of Arts, Montclair State University, and the Montclair Art Museum. For additional venue information contact 973-707-5088.
